Guaranteed Auto Protection

Is your auto insurance ENOUGH?

You might assume that your physical damage auto insurance is sufficient to cover any losses related to your vehicle. However, when a vehicle is declared a total loss, the primary insurance settlement is generally based on the market value of the vehicle, which may be substantially less than the balance still owed on your finance or lease contract for the vehicle. This difference is called the deficiency balance, which the vehicle owner is generally responsible for.

What is Guaranteed Auto Protection?

Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) will waive or pay the deficiency balance (minus certain fees and charges) between the amount still due on your finance or lease contract and your auto insurance settlement8. In most states, GAP will cover your auto insurance deductible9.

How do you get Guaranteed Auto Protection?

Ask Elk Grove Toyota about GAP now because it is only available at the time you purchase or lease an eligible new or used vehicle. For your convenience, the cost of GAP can be added to your finance or lease contract and included as a portion of your monthly payments (subject to credit approval)10.

Only vehicles with no more than 31,000 miles and are less than 37 months from date of first use are eligible for ToyotaCare Plus. 3. Coverage of major services varies by vehicle. 4. Roadside assistance is provided by and/or through Cross Country Motor Club, Inc. except in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Wisconsin and Wyoming, where services are provided by and/or through Cross Country Motor Club, Inc. Towing will be provided to the vehicle’s dealership or to an alternate dealership that is located within 25 miles of the first dealership. 5. Coverage of major and minor services varies by plan. See Agreement for details. 6. Product covers damage caused by conditions defined as a road hazard (commonly defined as debris on a public roadway such as nails, glass, potholes, rocks, tree limbs or other objects or conditions not normally found in the roadway). Road hazards may not include damage that occurs in construction sites/zones. It does not cover tires with less than 3/32″ tread depth at the lowest point on the tire or damage exacerbated by continued use of a damaged tire/wheel after initial occurrence of damage. See actual agreement for a full list of exclusions. 7. Up to $100 of towing expenses associated with covered damage will be reimbursed. Subsequent tow for same event not covered. The towing/tire change cost reimbursement is not available for Maryland customers. 8. Less any delinquent payments, taxes, and past due charges. See agreement, certificate, or waiver for complete details. Some restrictions apply. 9. Available in most states if it is purchased and disclosed separately on the finance/lease contract. 10. Not all customers will qualify. 11. Plan does not waive excess mileage. 12. Time and Mileage coverage periods for New Vehicle Plans are measured from date vehicle was first put into service as a new vehicle and zero miles. Time and Mileage coverage periods for Used Vehicle Plans are measured from Agreement Application Date and Agreement Application Mileage. Coverage expires upon reaching the maximum time or mileage of the coverage period selected, whichever occurs first. Deductible applies to each eligible repair visit.
