Finalists Announced for Toyota "100 Cars for Good" Initiative

If you stay up to date on the latest Toyota news, you've probably heard of the "100 Cars for Good" event they've put on for the second year, where the Japanese automaker donates 100 new Toyota vehicles to deserving nonprofit groups. Well, the worthy candidates have been selected and voting begins soon.

After going through many short videos explaining why each nonprofit could use a new Toyota to continue their charitable works in their hometowns, Toyota has narrowed it down to 500 finalists. Drivers in Elk Grove, Sacramento, and Roseville along with the rest of the nation can vote to see who will get a new Toyota. Voting starts May 14 and runs through August 21.

Each day, five finalists will be posted on the "100 Cars for Good" Facebook page, and users will get to pick their choice. The winner gets to choose from five new Toyota models, including the 2012 Toyota Tundra, and the Sienna minivan among other sedans and compact cars. Furthermore, to ensure that the nonprofit groups have a new vehicle that runs as smoothly as possible, Toyota will provide the winner with a six-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty from  Toyota Financial Services. Those who don't win the grand prize won't go home empty-handed either. Each of the other four runners-up will be given a $1,000 grant from Toyota

Here at Elk Grove Toyota, we're happy to see Toyota continue to support nonprofit groups that help keep areas like ours, and the rest of the world, a better place.
