Toyota Unveils the Future of Hybrids at the Detroit Auto Show
The 2012 Detroit Auto Show has come and gone, but what lasts are the incredible vehicles that were unveiled in the Motor City. More specifically, we here at Elk Grove Toyota are thrilled about a new plug-in hybrid concept that Toyota unveiled. No, we're not talking about the upcoming 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In either. Rather, this is a whole new hybrid for a whole new audience, and it's known as the Toyota NS4.
You won't find an ounce of Prius style in the Toyota NS4. When we say that it's in a breed of its own, we're really not kidding. The hot, new plug-in hybrid features a sporty edge that we can't get enough of, and the dark-red paintjob that it sported only served to add to its fierce demeanor. In fact, we'd even dare to say that it gives just about any vehicle in the new Toyota lineup a run for its money.
"In this digital age, cars are becoming another spoke in the wheel of our electronic connectivity," explains Jim Lentz, President of Sales for Toyota. "NS4 demonstrates Toyota's take on the human connection to the car with technology that considers both emotional and rational relationships, person-to-car and car-to-society."1
While there's no denying that there will be a wide range of people lining up to test drive the Toyota NS4 when it arrives on our lot at 9640 West Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove, CA 95757, there's is quite a bit of speculation as to when exactly that will be. Right now, many are estimating the Toyota NS4 will remain a concept for a few more years, then debut as a 2015 model. And while that might seem like a long ways off, it's nothing in terms of the automotive industry.
